Accuracy of Information
Government offices change phone numbers, hours, addresses, fees, and procedures without much notice. The Santa Barbara Superior Court clerk's office, for example, currently runs 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time, but counter hours and court schedules can change. We do our best to keep our pages current, but we cannot guarantee that every detail on this site is correct at any given moment. Before you visit a courthouse or send a payment, call the office directly to confirm. Records held by California government bodies are subject to the California Public Records Act (Government Code section 7920.000 et seq.).
Not Legal Advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. We point you to resources and explain how things generally work in Santa Barbara County, California, but a website cannot replace a California-licensed attorney.
